1.Briefly
discuss the history and future of multimedia. How might multimedia be used to
improve the lives of its users? How might it influence users in negative ways?
What might be its shortcomings? (pg 15)
The future of multimedia will
include high band width access to a wide array of multimedia resources and
learning materials.As you know multimedia devices can be found anywhere around us
helping to have fast , safe economical and enjoyable life .At home you have PC and internet that help you have so much fun by virtual
reality game ,or prepare your presentation by PPT , watch learning program on
CDand etc .When you are at office you work with databases ,may use video conferencing ,real-
time teleconferencing, or attach some PPT to email for your colleagues . Hotel
kiosks ,museum kiosks also use multimedia applications that can help customers
to access so much important information in a quick easy understandable way . E–learning ,distance learning are the another crucial
application of multimedia which create an evolution in training programs .Therefore
we can conclude that these multimedia applications help us to do our task in a
very short time, secure ,precise ,economical form .It improve communication
,training, sharing information ,and eventually it remarkably improves quality
of our lives .One of the most important problem of multimedia application is
that it needs high bandwidth for broadcasting via internet. So Web
sites with rich media require large amounts
of bandwidth.
2. Multimedia is shifting from being
localized (contained on a CD-ROM) to being distributed (available on the World
Wide Web). What are some of the implications of this? Who will have access to
the presentation? How will you keep it secure? How will you distribute it?

By this method more the company can have
widespread market that allow to capture more customer from all around the world
online advertising which is much cheap r
than advertising on TV and other media .Cost and serious problems which come
of packaging ,distributing , production
of CD ,marketing ,expanding the market , location and copyright … will be
eliminated. By this way company will has more flexibility ,quick customer
response ,control over its products .

,black ,green orange are the colours which are used .yes ,it is. It is not very
neat.

there is no problem with
content .But it needs better GUI to get attention of visitors ,it can use some
flash ,or advertising which can capture its target customers .

It just use nonlinear
presentation with simple images to show
its products which is so boring.

GUI is very neat and user
friendly .This web site contains of text, images ,video, flash which make it so
nice and more understandable .you can easily and quickly find any information looking for. Blue ,black ,red are the colours which are
used.

The content is okay. There
is so much useful information in the form of text ,videos and pictures that would be interesting for visitors. If it
had some flash player makes it more desirable for viewers.

advertising posters informative video and
flash player .It is very youthful and attractive .

athletics like .It is obvious that its developer really considers to

relevant and is presented in a interesting format which doesn’t allow to
viewers to get boring .This web site has used many elements to represents its
products that make it very professional.

informative and covers any information that user may need .The only thing about
this web site is that it doesn’t use any flash player which allow that to be
